Tugboats
Two tugs under construction in May of 1943. As you can see Jensen's was not an assembly line builder like the much larger facilities building vessels for the government during the war. Jensen Motor Boat built at least 10 Tunnel Tugs for the Navy following these specifications in 1943. The propellers are positioned much closer to midships then normal, and are located in a tunnel formed by the hull and stern of the craft. |
